I am writing a memoir about the vehicle accident, the aftermath, and recovery. The Calendula Review, a publication of narrative medicine, published a section of this manuscript in progress:

Through my writing, I aim to bring awareness to the increase in traffic crashes in the state of Michigan, especially crashes involving commercial motor vehicles such as semi-trucks and tractor-trailers, buses, large delivery vans, and box trucks. I am an advocate for vehicle and roadway safety and for ways to improve safety on the road for everyone.
